Salman Khan Residence Firing Case: Mumbai Police Recovers Gun And Cartridges In A River In Surat; Search For Other Weapon Ongoing- REPORTS
Mumbai Police, during their investigation in the firing incident at Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, recovered a gun and cartridges from Tapi River in Surat
Bollywood actor and filmmaker Salman Khan’s fans were left in shock when two individuals allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang opened fire at his residence in Bandra on April 14 at 5 am. Now identified as Vikas Gupta and Sagar Pal, the individuals fired five rounds of bullets at Khan’s house in Galaxy Apartment, Bandra. As the investigation into the matter is ongoing, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has now recovered one of the guns as well as some live cartridges that were used during the firing.
As reported by the Free Press Journal, the police officials on Monday explained that they found the gun and cartridges in the Tapi River in Surat, Gujarat. The Crime Branch is searching along the Tapi to locate the other weapon that was used in the incident. The report further states that the guns were provided to the suspects by Bishnoi’s gang. While both were supposed to fire their guns outside the actor’s residence, it was only Pal who discharged his pistol. Apparently, they threw both the gun into the Tapi River after the firing incident. Pal and Gupta carried one gun to their village in Bihar, where they underwent firing training, whereas kept the other gun in their rented apartment in Panvel. They were handed the weapon around 20-25 days before the incident. According to multiple media reports, the accused received Rs 1 lakh from the gang. A mediator spent Rs 1 lakh on the individuals including buying a second-hand bike, paying the deposit and rent for the house, and arranging their escape after the incident. As per the report, additional sections may be added to the FIR as the investigation takes place. The accused will be in the Crime Branch’s custody until April 25. FJP further reports that the Mumbai police will be requesting custody of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in custody in Tihar Jail after they collect more evidence in the case.
On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in AR Murugadoss’ upcoming action flick. He also has Vishu Vardhan and Karan Johar’s The Bull in the pipeline. If reports are to be believed he will be collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan, for YRF’s spy thriller Pathaan vs Tiger.
